This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Well I just did my first drawing in about 5 months. Since I came to Japan I've been so busy and lazy and overstimulated that I just haven't been able to do anything visually artistic. Now that I'm gettin' over it I hope to get some of my drawings submitted relatively soon. For now I'm just working on getting back up to par.
God that webcam picture is old, I no longer have nearly that much hair (I'm not going bald, but i did get my hair cut short), and the molester moustache has found its proper place in my past.
Thanks for the +Dev Meesta Keeeeveeeen!
I look forward to watching Graeme get persnickkered with the rest of ya'll! Encourage Graeme to get a new video system... I have a bunch of old school anime I know you would love...
Oh, and thanks for the props in your info!!
Hi! Saw your post in the thumbnail forum, and thought I'd come and have a look.
Personally, I think you've got potential, you could be good with practice.
Could I give you some tips?
First, play with your photo editing program, and try playing with photo adjustment settings. Your images are kind of stark. Try reducing brightness and contrast and you'll see the lines and shades better.
Second, don't just use your pencil with your sketches. You can use your fingers to blend and shade, and you can even use your eraser to create highlights.
Third, crop! You really need to learn to crop your images. For instance, Outlines would look much better if you cropped out the bottom, the spiral binding, and the right side. Leaving your images uncropped adds to the size. Speaking of which...
Fourth and most important please please resize! Your images are mega-huge! It looks like you're scanning them and saving them exactly as-is, a major digital art no-no. It takes an age to load your full-sized images, and most people would rather not wait.
Fifth, try some color! Until you get better at sketching it might really spice things up. If your photo editing program allows for it, try some digital color. And if you color your begining sketches, you will progress with your coloring ability as you progress with your sketching ability. Digital coloring is not always as easy as it sounds.
Oh, and, let me repeat: start cropping and resizing! With scanned images, it's SO important!
